About the Founder

Kyliegh

Founder of Work Ethic

Kyliegh didn't build Work Ethic from theory alone. She built it from more than two decades of experience watching how people communicate, lead, make decisions, respond under pressure, and influence the people around them.

8 years

Emergency Communications

Her professional journey began in emergency communications, where she spent eight years as a 911 dispatcher working in an environment where communication had to be clear, accurate, timely, and understood. In that world, assumptions, missing information, poor listening, and unclear communication weren't simply frustrating — they could have serious consequences. Those years gave Kyliegh a firsthand understanding of how people process information under stress and how critical clarity becomes when emotions are high.

5 years

Fatal Crash Investigations

She later spent five years investigating fatal crash patterns, examining information to identify trends, contributing factors, and recurring behaviors. That work strengthened something that would eventually become foundational to Work Ethic: her ability to look beyond a single incident and ask a deeper question.

Is this an isolated event, or is there a pattern underneath it?
9 years

Healthcare & Financial Services

Kyliegh spent six years in healthcare — two in sales and four in direct patient care — followed by three years in insurance and financial services, including owning her own agency and working as a financial advisor. These roles placed her on multiple sides of communication: building trust, explaining complicated information, understanding individual needs, navigating difficult conversations, developing relationships, leading a business, and helping people make decisions that mattered to their lives.

Education

Academic Foundation

Kyliegh holds a bachelor's degree in Religion with a minor in Christian Counseling, providing a foundation for understanding people, values, relationships, listening, and the human side of communication. She also holds a master's degree in Visual Communication Design, strengthening her ability to take complex ideas and transform them into information people can understand, remember, and actually use.

The through line

At first glance, these experiences may seem unrelated.

They aren't.

Across emergency services, investigations, healthcare, financial services, business ownership, counseling studies, and communication design, Kyliegh repeatedly encountered the same truth: communication shapes outcomes.

How unclear expectations create confusion.

How assumptions become stories.

How unresolved issues become patterns.

How leadership behavior influences trust.

How people can experience the same interaction and walk away with completely different interpretations.

How problems that appear to be about performance, attitude, accountability, or conflict are often connected to something deeper.

Work Ethic was created to help people identify those deeper patterns. Kyliegh brings an investigator's curiosity, a communicator's clarity, a business owner's practicality, a designer's ability to simplify complexity, and a deeply human approach to understanding behavior. Rather than simply telling people to "communicate better," she develops practical frameworks, assessments, worksheets, training, and coaching tools that help people slow situations down, identify what is actually happening, and decide what to do next.

Her work serves individuals, leaders, teams, and organizations who are willing to examine how their communication and behavior affect the people around them — and who are ready to turn awareness into meaningful change.

Because better workplaces, stronger relationships, and healthier teams don't begin with changing everyone else.

They begin when we're willing to examine ourselves.

Working on ME makes a better WE.
